WHAT THEY LOST:
Feferi is amphibious! She can live on land without any problems but she's lived in the ocean all her life taking care of cuttlefish. She's a sheltered girl who never really gone out of the ocean before until SGURBS happened. So, as much as she likes being outside and seeing everyone because it's very EXCITING I'm sure Feferi's heart is attached to the sea and her sea friends deep in the ocean. And because of this I will have Feferi lose her gills so she cannot go down into the sea anymore or see her sea creature friends. This is important to her because she has lived there her whole life, so not being able to go back into the sea without having to breathe every 30 seconds will probably frustrate her. You can argue she can use an air tank... but it's just not the same.
ABOUT THE CHARACTER:
When we come to the topic of Feferi Peixes we have to first look at the hemospecturm of the trolls blood color. Blood color signifies a lot in the troll race with different shades of purple being on top as royalty and rusty-red being the lowest. So where does Feferi stand? Well, she's all the way on top! This means that she has the highest and most rare purple blood color, thus making her royalty. She is an empress to be, and when she grows up is suppose to rule all of Alternia.
Well, that was before the game Sgrub came about, and all the trolls died but the 12 playing the game.
But we need to understand that no matter what...
Feferi doesn't care about that stuff! Yeah, you heard me right. She doesn't care at all and doesn't see why the color of a trolls blood should tell you whether you are better than someone or not. She had to constantly remind Eridan of this (who is only a shade down in the hemospecturm from her) and she is definately not like Equius who obsesses about blood color ALL the time. This can be shown here:

Instead, Feferi actually cares about everyone and is willing to listen to anyone that wishes to talk about their feelings. In the horn pile while most of them were trolling the kids she not only listens to Sollux's problems but also invited anyone who came toward them to join them in the horn pile. Her ears and heart are open to anyone that is willing to speak no matter the situation. Heck, Sollux obviously wanted to be alone and there wasn't even room in the horn pile! But it doesn't matter to Feferi, everyone matters and needs a chance to talk about feelings.
She's even nice to the kids! Even after all the other trolls blamed the kids for prototyping Bec into the system she actually didn't see it as the kids fault at all and wants to help them. This outlook is definately completely different from the rest of the trolls, but it is also the smarter one. After all, most of the trolls did end up helping the kids in the end didn't they?
So knowing all of this yes, Feferi definately is the most upbeat and bubbly of all the of trolls! She's actually rarely seen not excited, which can be due to the fact that she's lived in a bubble all her life. It's like a child going out to see the world for the first time, so it is very much justifiable. But now we have to come to the point that Feferi may come out as a little naive because of this. And well, she DOES live in the sea by herself. She spends her time in her hive taking care of sea creatures because she loves little things, and hardly she would hardly step outside of her own little world. Only occasionally does she goes out to feed her luscus with the lucsus of other young trolls.
But this brings us to another point. Sure, it can be argued that she's sheltered and doesn't seem to be alinged the with violent culture of the trolls but this isn't true at all! She's not all rainbows and butterflies and actually keeps with the troll culture. Without a lusus a young troll usually dies and Feferi knows this but it doesn't stop her from feeding her own lusus though! She does this because if she doesn't feed her own lusus and keep her quiet everyone will die because it will let out a sound that will kill everyone! So it's not because she has to, not because she totally wants to!The funny thing about this is that while Feferi is always bubbly and sweet, Vriska, who has a similar job with her own lusus has a total different approach about having to kill. She embraces it and therefore become a fearful troll while Feferi seems to have a different approach! The point I am making about this is that it isn't always about how you are raised, it is the overall personality you hold, and no matter what Feferi has a happy one. In the comic it was pointed out by Vriska that no one seems to have such a hard job she has, but then later Kanaya says the exact same thing about Feferi. It really just depends on their approach at life itself even with all these hard jobs put upon them.
And because Feferi's upbeat and happy DOES NOT MEAN THAT SHE IS A BAD TROLL. As a matter of fact she's even out trolled Vriska before! She still maintains that twisted personality that all trolls should have! While she played jokes on Vriska all while laughing about it she's called her ex-moirail, Eridan, plenty of bad names to his face. Even with Sollux, who is someone she loves, she is not afraid to call him a string of bad names to his face when he is being an insufferable prick. Adn there's also Jade who she'll often insult her after saying that she wasn't here to troll her, ending with a just kidding 38P every time. This truly isn't Feferi trolling the kid, but her keeping with her culture! Just becuse she has a different approach on this (cull = care!) doesn't mean she's giving up on her culture!

As stated before Feferi is willing to listen to anyone, and this especially includes Sollux because she loves him lots! The things we have to know about Sollux is that he can be a little insufferable and hates to open himself up and talk about feelings. But Feferi is there without fail to listen to everything he has to say! But this is actually a mild case. The more extreme would be her ex-moirail, Eridan. No one knows how Feferi puts with Eridan, and Kanaya even pointed out once that Feferi must have A LOT of patience to deal with him. The basic thing we have to know about Eridan is that he hates all land dwellers and thinks that he is better than everyone else (all other low bloods). It is Feferi that has to constantly listen and deal with his land dweller killing rampages that never work anyways. Even then Eridan tends to beat around the bush a lot so Feferi can't always tell what he's thinking! It's really frustrating so in the end Feferi decided to break up moirallegience with him.
Feferi is also the type that wouldn't beat around the bush and she doesn't hide anything! She is very truthful and isn't afraid to say the things she has to say, putting them on the table for everyone to see (omg i am typing like a tool). When she says that there is no need for them to be moirails anymore she says this in a straightforward manner without loop hoops or anything like that. This is also the same when Feferi told Eridan that she has no choice but to try to stop him when Eridan asked her to join Jack Noir with him. Please understand however, that she does love Eridan and she tells himself-- just not in a matesprit way and too frustrating in a moirail way, but in a platonic way! Even after all that shit that Eridan was spouting Feferi never really abandoned him but only expressed her feelings about what they had at one point.
Too bad it ended in a fight between Eridan and Sollux with Sollux KO'd. But even after seeing that Eridan has acquired such new powers (a wand, wow) she did not back down. No, Feferi isn't a coward or anything and she run off to hide. She turned around and charged at Eridan--
Which resulted in her death.
But we stop right before this happens.
This does show that she really is fearless though and she always had been! She told Karkat that she was going to sleep when Derse is destroyed because Karkat was completely terrified after his dream-self was destroyed. Giving an order to everyone on Prospit not to sleep Feferi herself stated that she was going to prove it wasn't scary and that she was going to sleep to prove there is nothing to fear! And guess what? She does so and even talks to Horrorterrors that you will meet after your dreamselves dies and convinces them to set up Dreambubbles for people to be able to meet after they die, or when they are asleep!
So, in conclusion Feferi is a bubbly, shelter, upbeat troll that cares about everyone. If we really look at it, Feferis approach on things is probably one of the smartest decisions that was proposed but the other trolls really only find her kind of weird with her approaches. She's a fearless girl and is still parallel with her culture and isn't to be looked down upon despite the way she is!
ABILITIES:
Feferi is a royal blood, the highest on the hemospecturm! This means that she's really hard to kill since it is the lower bloods that get killed off normally.
She's also really strong! We already know she can fight well with her trident (as it is in her choice for her strife deck) and she also has the ability to swim through the ocean dragging a huge whale along with her. She was also able to jump all the way to the next gate without needing any building up from her hive in order to save Sollux!
She also has a "collapsing and expanding bladder based aquatic vascular system" (says Kanaya for us—glub glub glub!!) and she can breathe underwater! As stated before, she is an amphibian so she can breathe on land too.
THIRD-PERSON WRITING SAMPLE:
Feferi Peixes wasn't sure what to make of what happened. For one thing she didn't know where she was and for another, her gills were gone! It was weird, not having them there and she panics. Even dreams shouldn't be able to do something like this... this was just too weird. But that wasn't the point in mind right now, she had to go back to where she was and get her gills back!
Before she came here Eridan and Sollux had a showdown and Sollux has lost. She really hopes that he's okay, this really was the worse time for her to disappear and reappear somewhere else. The place seemed beautiful though but she couldn't admire that right now. Was any of the other trolls here? Eridan? Well if Eridan was here she sure wasn't ready to see him again. Sure, getting throw here did let her to take a second to think about everything. She did not want to kill Eridan, that was one thing she was sure about now. In all her rage she was truly ready to attack him without thinking of the consequences before this happened. But...
"This is glubbing fishy..."
She sighs, clearly disapproving of what had happened but she couldn't help but feel a tingle of excitement. Everything looked so exciting here and plus there seemed to be a lot of people! She really wanted to meet them all! She remembered that her lusus had told her it would be her job to unite the races after all, so maybe this is what she means? In that case this was no time for her to sit around and do nothing! She had to figure out if any of the other trolls were here, if Sollux was okay, and make lots of friends as possible while she is here! Sure, she has mixed feelings about losing her gills but maybe it was just a mess up and she'll get them back. So, despite all the confusion she quickly gets her communicator and begins to type. She had a lot of people to meet, and the more she immerses herself in something the less she will have to think about her lost gills, and the beautiful bottom of the ocean.

INTENT:
I reason I want to play Feferi is because I think she's a really sweet and loving character! It's also interesting that she still has that nasty personality next to her sweet bubbly self. It's quite fun to place that aspect of her. I also like how she is trying to unite the races, and I think that is exactly what Feferi will try to do in Paradisa. She will want to make friends with everyone, and let the trolls know that humans and trolls should be able to get along anywhere!
A-and I won't lie... ATP and the Sollux I threaded with like, once, was enough to bring me here..........
